# 📍 ESCAPE THE CAVE  

A 2D pixel-art action platformer focused on survival, crafting, and exploration.

You play as a lone explorer trapped deep within a mysterious cave. Armed with only a basic dart gun and a flickering flashlight, you'll need sharp reflexes, clever resource use, and powerful arrow modifiers to survive and find your way back to the surface.

🛠️ FEATURES

⚡ Fast-paced movement 

- Double jump, dash, and wall-jump your way through dangerous terrain.  

- Some passive abilities (like faster dash or wall climb) are randomly granted at the start of each run.

🔫 Dynamic dart combat 

- Fire a basic dart or switch to powerful modified darts (Poison, Explosive, Light) using C key.

🧪 Crafting system with inventory

- Pick up craftable items like Toxic Mushroom, Red Rock, or Light Bloom  

- Press P to open your inventory and drag modifiers onto your arrow slot (left side)

- Modified darts are now active — switch between them using C

🎯 Multiple playstyles 

- Aggressive, stealthy, or resourceful — approach each challenge your way.

🪨 Interactive cave environment  

- Shoot stalactites or breakables to open new paths and discover secrets.

👾 Enemy variety 

- Some enemies prefer darkness, others are vulnerable to light. Choose your tools accordingly.

🔒 Phase Walk (Currently Bugged)

- A passive power that was meant to allow phasing through walls.  

- ⚠️ Note: Due to a missing layer tag, this feature is not working in the current build. A fix is coming soon!

 💥 MODIFIER TYPES

- Toxic Mushroom → Deals damage over time (Poison effect)  

- Red Rock → Causes an explosion on impact (Area damage)  

- Light Bloom → Emits light and damages light-sensitive enemies
